Ring Joint Gaskets are the high strength, high temperature and high pressure gaskets for exclusive usages in oilfield drilling, petroleum industry, pressure vessels joints, pipes and valves etc. We manufacture ring joint gaskets in conformity with API 6A and ASME B16.20 for their many industrial applications founded on the customer needed specifications with corrosive protection utilizing electroplated zinc or secondary material finishing of up to 0.0003 thickness.
As an effect of metal to metal fastening media they are ready-made to be free of indentures, tool marks etc. and have a surface finishing of maximal R, RX --63 micro-inches Ra (1.6 micrometer Ra). BX-- 32 micro-inches Ra (0.8 micrometer Ra).
The working of ring joint gaskets can be explicated by the axial compressive load making them to flow and deform to irregularities in the flange channels, which these seal. As load bearing orbit of ring joint gaskets are small, high surface accents are made between the groove and sealing face, devising it poor in betterment characteristics and unsuitable for reuse.
We manufacture Type R, RX, BX ring joint gaskets in API 6A, ASME B16.20 gasket regulations for ASME B16.5, API 6B and API 6BX flanges severally.
Types R, RX functions in 6250 psi/ 5000 psi with oval or octagonal gasket placement and interchangeability.
Type RX has a pressure passage hole for pressure leveling on every sealing face sides.
Type BX works in 20,000 psi with non changeability. Type BX has a pressure way opening for pressure leveling on every sealing face sides.
Derived from BX, RX are SRX, SBX in accordance with API 17D regulations for applications like sub-sea well heads etc.
Thus Goodrich Gasket supplies Ring Joint Gaskets with the hardness numbers as follows: Ring joint gaskets are configured to be fleecier than flange grooves so as on compaction the gasket plastically contorts and not the grooves.
In order to cut down disruptive flow in conterminous flanges and preclude gasket/flange eroding we offer SPECIAL R, RX kinds joints with PTFE sections. Goodrich Gasket also offers Nit-rile Rubber glazed ring joint gaskets utilized in pressure testing usages and as a covering for flange grooves and subsurface. Ring joint flanges with various ring groove lengths are sealed by Transition Ring joints, an antithetic size and identical PCD collection rings. Blind Ring joints, a standardized ring joint with constitutional solid metallic centrists blanks off pipe and flanges work. Flange Guards of non-opening cell neoprene foam promptly force under load protecting external diameter of Ring joints in corrosive surrounds.
Thus Goodrich Gasket supplies ring joint gaskets with the hardness numbers as follows:
|GASKET MATERIALS||BRINELL HARDNESS NUMBER (max)||ROCKWELL HARDNESS NUMBER |
|Low carbon steel||120||68||S|
|4-6% Chrome ½% molybdenum||130||72||F5|
|304 Stainless Steel||160||83||S304|
|316 Stainless Steel||160||83||S316|
